Humbled and Amazed

I have recently been put on "house arrest" as I reached 24 weeks. This pregnancy has gone so smoothly, but my doctor wants to be cautious in hopes of delivering at 35+ weeks. So with that being said I have been humbled by so many of my friends. I have the BEST friends. I have truly been blessed by some amazing woman in my life, some that I've known a life time and others just a few short years or even months.

Today I was blown away by my friend Jenna (friend since freshman year at KHS). She loaded up her two precious children, drove one hour, and came to take care of me. She absolutely served me and took care of me in a way that is so meaningful to me. My "love language" is Acts of Service. She "loved" me today and was so selfless about it. For starters, she made 3 homemade meals... Pioneer Woman's Lasagna, Spinach and Feta Chicken, and Steak/Rice casserole. Delish! I have a freezer full of meals for the rest of bed rest. Then she proceeded to fold my laundry, do the dishes, clean my living room, and make my bed! Can we say true friend?

Soon after Jenna left I received this email from another friend...Read and you will see why I am so blessed.

Hey guys,
Sorry I wasn't able to touch base with y'all today.
*Warning: The following information is not meant to be overwhelming. It is just meant to keep you all in the loop. You are loved by so many people who want to help and every good Baptist knows that the best way to help is to bring food :) This, by no means, is the end of MY helping. Please know that I am here for anything! Please, please, please let me do other things to help you guys (laundry, Harper, grocery shopping, etc.)*
I wanted to touch base with y'all about the meals. I already have the website set up. There is a spot for food allergies, things y'all like and don't like, etc. It even suggests putting in a couple of local restaurants in case people want to pick up a meal or give a gift card. If y'all could brainstorm and email me some ideas to put here that would be great.
Ally, you mentioned that Mrs. Crockett brought y'all dinner tonight. Do you have people scheduled to bring meals right now or are people just offering?
I have set up for people to start signing up to bring meals two days a week (Tues. & Thurs.) beginning on March 8th. Jenna, Mom and I will probably have you covered until then and I think it would help if you at least didn't have to worry about dinner. Starting in May (I think) I have it set up so people can sign up three days a week (Sun., Tues., Thurs.). We can adjust if you think that's too often/not enough, your freezer fills up, etc.
Also, I'm going to put a note that we will put an ice chest on the front porch for people to leave meals if you are not home. This worked out great for Erin and her family when she was in the hospital or just having a bad day. If y'all have one to put out you can or I can bring one over. :)
Cam, I put your name and cell number as the contact person in case people need directions or need to leave you directions about the meal.
Once I get the info. from you guys about meal preferences (don't forget to include things that Harper likes!) I plan to send an email out to the shower hostesses (Angela B., Angela M., Paige, Ashley) and KW peeps (my mom, Jenna, etc.) and ask them to send on the website info. to anyone they think would like to help. I think that will cover everyone.
I can't wait to meet those sweet baby boys. Until they arrive, (insert assertive "mom" voice) Allyson Marie, please slow down and take time for yourself. You don't want Jenna and I both on your case :) AND, if you think of something that someone can do to help you please tell us.
Love you guys!
Julie :)

Father Abraham had many sons..............

On November 30th we found out the gender of our babies. 3 BOYS. The ultrasound tech had no problem identifying each "Boy part." Cam must be Father Abraham with all these sons! We really had not prepared to have 3 of the same sex, so we are clueless on names at this point. After we left the doctor's office we went to Pei Wei and discussed our exciting news. Cam spent the entire lunch trying to convince me that 4 boys would be easy. His exact words were, "They can share the same underwear and socks!" Men :)

Later that afternoon Addy and Poppy came over to hear the news. I had made blue and pink cake balls covered in white chocolate. I gave Addy, Poppy, and Harper a cake ball and made them close their eyes. They took a bite at the same time and then showed each other the middle. Apparently the blue had turned into sea foam green so they all looked at each other rather confused.
I told them that it was supposed to be blue, and they were shocked! Harper was sad because he wanted pink babies, Mom just said "Really" in disbelief, and Dad was thrilled knowing that he would for sure get one named after him.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. -Proverbs 17:17

Heathcott Party of Six

Heathcott party of six all began in August of 2010 around Harper's 3rd Birthday. We started seeing a specialist to help us grow our family. I did one round of injections to make me ovulate earlier. I went to the doctor every day or every other day to check my hormone levels. The doctor/nurse told us we were going to have a baby! We were so excited. We found this out on the week of my 30th birthday. I went back to the doctor periodically to monitor my levels since I had miscarried in the past. I had my first ultrasound and there was ONE little sack.

Well on September 21st our lives would change forever....

I went to the doctor by myself for a routine ultrasound and found out that there was not ONE baby, but THREE!!! We were having triplets. ...What?? I was in shock! The doctor had said I only had ONE good egg. How was this possible? Only through God was this happening. He was restoring what evil had taken away through two previous miscarriages. I left the doctor's office in disbelief. I had to call Cam on the phone because he was in Washington, DC for business. He thought I was joking and didn't think it was funny. As soon as Cam got back in town we went back to the doctor so he could see for himself! Sure enough, we saw 3 tiny heartbeats. WOW. God is awesome!

We started to announce our news. Everyone was so excited for us. Harper wanted to know if the babies were going to be white or black, because he had an orange baby in his tummy!

Through this process we have seen God's provision time and time again. God is so good. I find myself saying that day after day.
