Tooth number TWO

Harper is at it again... He pulled out his second tooth all by himself!! We tucked him into bed after we got home from the ranch and about 5 minutes later we was yelling "Mooooom, Mooooom." He is notorious for stalling at bedtime so I made Cam go into his room to see what he needed. I heard Cam say, "Way to go Buddy" so I grabbed the camera and ran to see. You can't fake this grin, he is all smiles!! The funny thing is he doesn't really have a gap in mouth because he already has his permanent teeth. He was a shark and has had two rows of teeth for a month or so!!

A little bit country...

Huddy B

We took the fam up to the ranch for our first Fall visit. They had a blast and enjoyed the wide open spaces!! I think we will be spending lots of time here in the future.

10 for Texas

These girls make running fun!
Running and I have a love/hate relationship. I enjoy running 3-4 miles, but anything beyond that is hard on my body. I get blisters, cramps, nauseated, and a few other aliments that I will spare you the details on. With that being said, I also like a challenge, a goal, and the feeling of accomplishment. I ran my first and possibly last half marathon last November when the triplets were 7 months old. It was rough. I enjoyed endured the first 10 miles, but the last 3 were brutal. I enjoy running when it is COOL outside. For this particular race I could only get in 2 training runs a week. I would get up at 4:45 AM on Thursdays to run 4 miles and then do a "long run" Friday nights or Saturday mornings. I am a huge fan of running at night, strange and dangerous I know.

I woke up on Saturday morning and it was HOT and HUMID. UGH!! I was discouraged from the start, but somehow managed to cut 18 minutes off of my last years time. I guess that is what happens when you run at a snails pace!! After the race we got massages and did a little retail therapy. I think next time I will shower and go to bed. I spent the afternoon dizzy, throwing up, cramping, and I had a headache. Alli had to drive me home and lets just say she is a true friend. Wow, nothing like witnessing someone throwing up in a bag with a hole in it. What can I say, running brings out the best in me!

We did it!!

Dewberry Farm

We decided to take a mental health day for Columbus Day and head to Brookshire, Texas for some family fun. Cam's cousins were having a birthday party at Dewberry Farm. Unfortunately, Cam was double booked, so Cha-Cha joined us. We would not have attempted this road trip with out her! It was a cool cold morning for these Texans! We wore jackets, scarves, and turtle necks!! It was the first and only day of "Fall" weather thus far.

These cute cousins had so much fun together. If only we lived closer! They are 3 months apart and it is so sweet to watch them play. They were inseparable...well almost...there was a little mishap in the corn maze....but thankfully Charlie knew how to find his way out!!

Within minutes of arriving at the farm, I ran into one of my best friends from high school. She recently relocated to Houston and we have been emailing about meeting up! I am turning into my mom. She can not go anywhere with out running into someone she knows! I guess it is genetic! So we snapped a quick pic with her boys and soon to be little girl!! Such a small world.
There were so many little munchkins running around that it was a little overwhelming to try to keep up with FOUR kids! Thankfully Baron took Harper and Charlie to do "big kid" stuff while Cha-Cha and I stayed with the littles. They loved the blob/bounce pad. And the best part was that it was fenced in, so no one could escape. Harper loved swinging in the hay barn. It is days like today that I think I need to move to the country and raise my BOYS! They absolutely love being outside.

Look at those sweet feet

Happy Birthday Charlie and Stella, we had a blast with you!!
