On the Pontoon

We headed out one last time before school started. Harper loves to fish and cruise on Lake Conroe. We decided it was time to let the little brothers join in on the fun. So after morning naps we all headed to the lake for the afternoon. We had 4 adults and 4 kids, you must play "man to man" on the boat! The Puddle Jumpers cracked me up. Notice that their arms stick out like snowmen! Overall they did pretty good. My mom had the genius idea to bring a pack n play. It worked out great while Harper was fishing...no one got hooked! Unfortunately a storm came through so we had to get off the water a little earlier than planned.

First Day of Kindergarten Prep

School is back in session. I embrace change and I have always looked forward to the start of school. I mean who doesn't love back to school shopping, new school supplies, a fresh haircut, and meeting new friends. Unfortunately, Harper does not share the same love. He came in my room this morning and the first words of of his mouth were, "I don't want to go to school." I have no idea why he feels this way. It is not like he has to be woken up early to go to school and was just grumpy. It makes me so sad that I had to try to cheer him up all morning long. It was dreadful and makes this mama rethink preschool. He is going to FBA again this year. Technically he is in Kindergarten, but since Harper's birthday is August 14th, we will be doing Kinder again in public school next Fall. I have been calling this year Kindergarten Prep because I don't want him to be confused/sad when he is in Kinder again the following year. He grumbled all morning about every little thing, but when we arrived at school, he
bee-bopped right in and was happy.

This was my first attempt at first day of school pictures, this one was followed by several fake smiles and frowns. I desperately got creative and put an apple of his head and FINALLY got a few smiles.

New running shoes!
This year Harper will be going to school Monday-Thursday. So it looks like we will all be taking Harper to school each day. Thank goodness they have a drop off zone!! The boys were good in the car so I treated myself to Starbucks on the way home. My hubby asked me what I was going to do with all of my free time while Harper was it school!!! Oh sweet husband..sit around and eat bon bons of course.
The boys, it was too early to get everyone dressed

Signing is treats we made for his friends

I pulled out a few of my classroom books, this one was always a favorite for back to school.

Flowers for Ms. Thompson, she has 2 girls and 8 boys in her class! Yikes.

I pray that Harper has a great year in K prep as he prepares for public school next year. May he be kind to his friends, respectful of his teacher, a good listener, and learn more about the Lord each day. I am so thankful for another year in an awesome school!

Fired up about Finley's Birthday Party

We had a blast at Finley's 4th birthday party! It was at a local fire station, and the firemen were helpful hosts!  Harper said, "Finley had the bestest party ever!"

16 months

At 16 months my babies are walking, throwing (balls & food), pulling hair, hitting balls (and people), swinging, crawling through small spaces, pointing, crawling up stairs, dancing, looking at books, napping (2x) following one-two step directions, making animal sounds, watching "movies", babbling, eating, and snacking. Our days are busy!!!

My babies are quickly becoming toddlers. They are each so different and have their own little personality. Hampton is usually all smiles and loves to flirt with his eyes. Oh my, I am going to have to learn to tell this boy, NO! He is becoming more aggressive and has been caught biting. boo. He still loves to be held especially when any unfamiliar faces are around. He is allergic to strawberries and peanut butter, but that has not slowed him down. This *little* guy can eat!! He recently mastered "Uh-Oh" and I love his facial expressions!!
Uh-Oh
Hogan is my little runner. He is so giggly and just bee-bops around the house with a smile on his face. He has the most adorable dimples.  He loves to play peek-a-boo and cover his face when you say "Where's Hogan?" He says bye, bye over and over all day. I think he wants to escape back to Sea Island! Harper and Hogan play really well together....they usually just chase each other around!

Hudson is my cuddly guy. He has a bunny by the bay lovie that he must have to sleep. He is still the most serious, but is still very playful. He LOVES balls and balloons. He is content to play with one ball all day long. He can hit a ball with a bat, which is dangerous with 3 other boys around! I recently found Hudson standing on the train table. He now has the nickname Moto-Moto from Madagascar2.

The boys all dislike getting dressed, changing diapers, and baths. I think all of these things just slow them down. Their favorite thing to do is play on my bed.

Harper-potamus is five

Happy Birthday Harper Baron Heathcott!!! My sweet oldest boy is FIVE years old today. Time is going by too quickly. He has grown up right before my eyes. The anticipation for his real birthday had been building over the last week, but it was finally the big day!!

At 6:45 AM the celebrating began. He came into our room and asked why he had streamers hanging on his door. I reminded him that it was finally his birthday!! Ms. Maria was already at the house taking care of the little babies so I got extra snuggle time watching cartoons with the bday boy. Cam made pancakes at Harper's request. He makes the best tasting and prettiest pancakes! Harper opened a few a presents. He had already opened most of his presents earlier in the week. I saved a few little susses for today.

Excited for pancakes!!

Addy and Poppy came over and brought Harper a birthday donut complete with a singing candle. What is it with little boys and fire?? He wanted to light the candle over and over!!

We packed up our stuff and headed out to the lake so the birthday boy could fish. Unfortunately, we had boat problems so we fished from the dock. It was HOT so it didn't last very long. We headed back to the house to play with some more new birthday presents.

Before Harper left to go on a special overnight date with Addy and Poppy we had a little photo shoot. Fourteen is a great day in our house. Harper's birthday is August 14th, the triplets birthday is April 14th, and mine is September 14th! Cam has it easy!! So Happy 5th and 16 Months to my boys!!

What it was really like.....
AND, a few more "Harper-isms"
I do.not.ever. want to forget the precious things Harper says...

Harper starts his prayer off like this every.single.time- "Dear God, Help us to be good and healthy"

"Look mom I made "Birth-marks" on the drive way!"- After making skid marks with his bike.

Mom, I like to get hot, I'm a guy! -After telling him it is too hot to go outside.

Every night after we say our prayers he tells me he loves me to "Upper than Heaven"
Harper- Mom, am I an athlete?
Me- Yes
Harper- Are Cooper and Gentry?
Me- Yes
Harper- Yes!!! (fist pump)
