All-Stars {Summer 2014}

                                                                   #3 our **All-Star**
Harper had an awesome opportunity to play on our city league All-star team. The team consisted of 12 players chosen out of the 144 boys in the regular season. These 12 boys received a new set of coaches and new teammates and quickly began playing in tournaments. They practiced their hearts out this summer and made the STATE tournament in Burleson, Texas.

We had tournaments most weekends in June/July. It made this mom cra-zzy! I loved watching my boys happy, but being a baseball widow with the 3 potty training littles was rough! Cam was the third base coach so it was usually just me at home or in the stands for the games….or running to the bathroom while someone yelled, "My poo-poo is coming out!" And yes that really happens. That is how they tell me they need to potty every.single.time! We need to work on that because I have a heart attack and pull a hamstring every time I hear those words!

I am so proud of Harper and his first athletic accomplishment. We made a ton of memories this summer with our Conroe Baseball Family and I look forward to many more fun seasons of baseball. I enjoyed learning the game and seeing Harper feel successful. Here are a few more pictures that we purchased…his tongue is out in every picture!! I wonder where he learned that??

Cotter Trout Dock Trip {July 2014}

Poppy, Cam, and Harper met up with some of our favorites for a fishing trip in Arkansas. Harper is completely obsessed with fishing so this was his dream vacation…especially since it included Luke and Wyatt. The boys camped at night and fished during the day. Harper caught brown and rainbow trout…and too many to count. I know it will be the "first" of many guys only trips.

Last Day of Kindergarten

First Grade here he comes!
Where do I even begin? I have neglected our poor little blog. Things have sure gotten busy and my "down time" is no longer exists. I want to make sure to document Harper's Kindergarten graduation. He has come a long away since the first day of Kindergarten. It started off rough. August was one of the toughest months of my life. Sending my first off to Kinder, kicking and screaming…literally!

But sometimes it is the hard times that leads to the best times. I am one proud mama to see how far he has come. He is excelling in school socially, emotionally, and cognitively. He has had excellent behavior, made excellent grades, and is reading fluently. His teachers says he is the "Leader" in the class. I laughed because I noticed that on the Kindergarten field trip his desire to be "First!" He is the general at home so I guess he carries out those duties at school!

Giesinger put on a cute graduation program and let us know that they were all ready for FIRST grade!! Harper has made some wonderful friends this year and we feel truly blessed to have had Miss Smith this year.

Coronado, California {July 2013}

Yep. you read that right, July of 2013! I do not know why it has taken me so long to write this post. And I HAVE to write it because it was Huddy's first trip! Hampton has gone to Mexico, Hogan to Sea Island, and at last Huddy to Cali!!

So it was Huddy's turn for a vacation rotation. We flew to San Diego and stayed at The Del on Coronado Island. Getting away is always an ordeal. The boys had well check ups before we left and 3 out of the 4 had ear infections..not fun for the grandparents or parents. We started antibiotics and went on our way. Huddy can be loud, so I was nervous about his ears hurting on the flight. He did great minus the blowout halfway through the flight!! And of course I didn't bring extra clothes in my carry on. Always an adventure!! Has anyone ever tried to change an extra wiggly 2 year old in 2 feet of space in a bathroom that is TOO small?? So he was that kiddo in a diaper...at least he had on shoes!

We grabbed our luggage and then headed to get our rental car-a compact Chrysler. Oh yeah! The boys immediately passed out once we got in the car. I guess my rendition of "California knows how to party" lulled them to sleep!!

We quickly got settled into our room and then headed to the pool, it was a chilling 82 degrees!! I was our first and last dip in the pool.
