HBD Jenna

We had a great night out with friends. I have known Jenna and her husband Dustin since I was in middle school/high school. Cam and I can always count on a great time when they are around. Jenna was turning 31 and she is a foodie! She is an amazing cook and loves all the cooking shows etc. So Dustin planned a wonderful night out at Philipes in Houston. We had a chef prepared menu with wine pairings. Everything was great...including the beef cheeks! Yes the ones on the face, not the bum! I can honestly say that was a first for me! What a great night of yummy food and even better company. Happy Birthday Jenna!

1st Haircuts

Our sweet friend, Kara, made a house call this morning and cut the boy's hair. It was so nice not having to load the boys up. She just trimmed everyones hair and now they look like such toddlers!! Everyone was really good and didn't seem to mind being messed with. I need to learn to cut hair!
Hogan went first..

Hampton was next....

And finally Hudson...

Our Garden

We have a garden!! This makes me so giddy! I love gardening, really I do! We had our first garden at our old house in April Sound. I thought it would be something fun for Harper and I to do. We had no gardening knowledge or experience and we ended up having much success. Harper and I use to spend hours outside enjoying the garden.

This year, Cam built us a raised bed in our backyard. We used a combination of seeds and plants. I am so excited to have fresh vegetables! We planted strawberries, green beans, carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, bell peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, and squash. We already have several small tomatoes and green peppers on the vine.

Easter 2012

Easter looked a lot different this year than it has in the past! Last year was the boy's second day at home from the hospital. I kept telling the NICU doctors that we did not do holidays in the hospital and lucky for us we spent Easter at home as a family!

Same chairs, big babies! Easter 2012, 11.5 months

Harper, 4.5 years old
This year started bright and early, we had high hopes of being on time to church! Sundays are usually a little crazy trying to get everyone dressed, fed, and out the door by 9! Today we added shoes to the mix...something that is going to be a staple as they start walking, but oh my, 6 little feet to get shoeies on is a daunting task.. You will notice in some of the pictures that a certain somebody doesn't like shoes.

The Easter bunny had left the boys a few surprises. The littles enjoyed the crepe paper the best, while big brother is nuts for candy! Harper hunted Easter eggs in the living room and loved eating as he opened the eggs. He was less than excited about finding the hard boiled eggs! The Easter bunny had already made an extra visit to the ranch the day before so he was pretty excited to get another visit.

After church we had our families over for lunch. I had planned on hiding eggs in the backyard for Harper to hunt in the afternoon, but he was too busy playing rocket balloons and daddy was enthralled in the Masters.

We managed to take a few family pictures before nap time. When did my babies get so BIG? Even Harper, he looks so grown up!
