Father's Day

We had a great Father's day celebrating all things daddy. Harper spent the weekend on a "holiday" at my parent's house. So Cam woke up with only his littlest boys at the house. We got everyone fed and dressed and headed for breakfast at Panera. This was our first "restaurant" attempt with the babies. They did great and we did not get a single comment! I was not looking forward to our stares and comments, but everyone left us alone!
Headed to Panera
We then loaded up the car and headed to Kingwood to spend the rest of our day as a family. Cam's birthday was the next day so we had a little celebratory lunch and banana pudding poolside.

The little boys spent the day outside in the shade. They LOVE it outside and are so happy when we put them on the back porch. Our night nurse dressed them up for daddy, don't they look darling! A little overdressed for our laid back day, but SO cute!!

Big brother missed the photo shoot because a day in the sun makes him do this...
We had a super fun laid back day. I hope Cam knows just how special of a daddy he is, our boys are in for a real treat. He is so hands on and never complains about his daddy duties and responsibilities as a father. He is a Godly man and I am so proud of the daddy he has become. Today he is a daddy to 4 boys and he is still in his 20's!! Tomorrow is another story...

Two Months

Really?! Our my babies already 2 months old?? Wow, time is really flying by. The triplets are the sweetest things and are starting to have longer stretches of wake time. We have started trying to do "Babywise" and keep them on a eat, play, sleep schedule. We are hoping to have some good chunks of sleep in the mean time. Here is a day in the life of the boys at 2 months....Tuesdays and Thursdays are different because Harper goes to preschool from 9-2:30, which gets a little complicated getting him there and back.

6:45 am- Harper comes and snuggles jumps on me, asking when the babies are going to wake up...and repeatedly says, "Is it time to pump?" (He uses that for everything, bottle feeding, nursing, pumping! No secrets in our house!)

7am-Good morning time! I wake the boys up if they are not already awake, change diapers and begin feeding. I tandem nurse two, while the other one waits patiently. When the first 2 are finished Cam burps them while I diaper and nurse the 3rd. Pump. Harper is playing on our phones and lying in bed or watching TV while all this is taking place.

8am- I put the babies in their bouncers or swings and go make breakfast, Cam hops in the shower.

8:15 am  The boys are starting to fuss so I go in and swaddle each of them and lay them in the pack in play together for a morning nap.

8:30am Eat breakfast and enjoy massive amounts of coffee with Cam and Harper. Clean up and wash bottles from late night feedings.

9am- Try to spend quality time with Harper before it's time for another feeding.

10am- Change two babies diapers and begin to nurse babies while Harper plays on my phone or watches a movie on the ipad...seeing a common theme?? Attempt to get babies to burp before laying them down and feeding their brother. It takes forever for them to burp, they always burp and spit up as I lay them down :( Wake up 3rd baby, change diaper, nurse, burp.

11:15 am Put babies in bouncy seats while I get lunch ready for Harper....console fussy babies that don't enjoy being on the back....that involves several trips to the kitchen and master bedroom

11:30am Eat lunch, pack a lunch for Harper's summer school, clean kitchen

12:00pm Special time with Harper

1:00pm Change diapers, nurse, burp, snuggle babies all while Harper is playing games on my iphone or ipad.....get the picture!

2:15-3:30 Nap time for Harper, alone time for mama.....if no one is gassy

3:30pm Snack time for Harper, watch a movie so he be friendly after nap time

4pm Change diapers, Nurse, Burp babies.....all while Harper is sitting next to be in bed on the iphone!

5pm Daddy comes home!! He helps burp the boys and we all sit in bed and talk about our day

5:15pm I start dinner while Harper and Cam play the Wii

6pm Sit down to eat as a family, clean the kitchen

7pm- Feed the babies....change diapers x3, nurse x3, burp x3, cam and harper usually have special time.....ha ha that means they sit and play angry birds!! Then I pump for extra milk for the night time.

8pm- Bath, books, and bed for Harper

9pm- Prepare breast milk bottles for the night time feedings, start laundry, tidy the house

10pm I pump and feed 2 boys a bottle, while Cam feeds the 3rd. Change diapers, burp, and swaddle

11pm Get ready for bed, and PRAY that they don't wake up again for 3+ hours

2:30pm Someone usually wakes up, so we get everyone up, change diapers, feed, burp, and swaddle while pumping for the next feeding. Prepare bottles....Pray that they fall back to sleep....pretty rare that they all go back to sleep immediately. We are usually up pacifying until 3 or 3: 30

6:30-7am Repeat!!

The boys each have their own personality and like to be comforted in different ways. Hampton loves the paci and rarely cries, he loves to be snuggled and is notorious for spitting up on clean clothes. Hogan is our wild man, he was the first to roll over and loves to arch his back to try to get his paci. He also had a huge growth spurt and didn't poop for 10 days!! Hudson/Gordito/Chubs/Studson has the most nicknames and makes the funniest faces with his lips. He loves to be held and was the second guy to roll over. He recently out grew newborn diapers.
Stats at 11 weeks
Hampton 10 pounds 3 ounces
Hogan 10 pounds 9 ounces
Hudson 11 pounds 7 ounces

Lake Livingston

Fun times at the Lake with Jake and Gentry
We took the boys on our second family road trip this weekend. We loaded up the car and headed to our friend's lake house. They were so sweet to invite all 6 of us, not sure we will ever be invited back! The little boys love being in the car, (too bad they never go anywhere!) and napped the entire way to Livingston. Once we arrived and unloaded our car we slipped on our suits and let the fun begin. It was such a nice change of scenery. We relaxed all weekend, I'm talking no make up, swimsuit and pajamas only. I let me type A personality go and we enjoyed a fun weekend with friends.

The trio slept peacefully on a hammock outside while the big kids played in the water, and the adults supervised. It was so nice to have some adult interaction. Harper plays so well with his buddies Gentry and Jake. We are so blessed that our children's friends are our best friends!

Meet Abby

Making Cookies: Abby, Harper, & Lauren
Abby is a life saver and a sweet sweet girl that we LOVE! Abby is the most precious and mature fourteen year old girl around and THE best "Mother's helper" to my gang. She comes over several times a week and wants to help us all summer! Lucky us!! She cleans, changes diapers, makes lunch, plays, organizes my drawers, and makes crafts with Harper....There is nothing this cute girl won't do.  I am totally honored and flattered that Abby wants to hang out with us all day. We are seriously not that fun! Abby is at camp this week and we have missed her so much. We get spoiled when she spends her day with us.

A Memorable Memorial Weekend

We made lots of special memories and had many family of six firsts! For starters Aunt Heather came in town to meet her newest nephews. We celebrated her birthday a little early, an excuse for some sweets! Harper played his last baseball game of the season, Addy, Poppy, Daddy, and Aunt Heather went to cheer him on. Saturday afternoon we spontaneously loaded up the car and headed to Kingwood to spend some time in the pool. It was so worth it. I had the milk and mom had the crib, what else do babies need? We literally backed only the necessities for the babies and went on our way. This was so not like me, I always over pack and bring way more than necessary. I figured we didn't need swings and bouncers with so many arms to hold the boys. We spent most of the day Saturday and Sunday in the pool. So fun! It was so nice to have so much help with the boys. I felt so relaxed all weekend. Maybe we should move in my mom and and dad they made it way to comfortable! They cooked, cleaned, provided the entertainment (pool/toys), and helped me with feedings.

I want a pool SO bad...maybe when the boys get a little older?? It was so nice to just wake up, put on your suit, and jump in the pool. I can't imagine what it would be like to load up the stuff just for a morning at the neighborhood pool. Harper loved jumping and sliding into the pool. He is still very cautious in the water and refuses to put submerse his head completely under water. Hopefully he will be swimming by the end of the summer...we need a few more trips to A&P's house.

The Fam

The babies were perfect all weekend and let us enjoy some fun in the sun. We didn't bring bouncers etc, so we let them relax in their car seats outside. Hogan loves being outside...even when it is 100 degrees! Hogan also rolled over this weekend. Aunt Heather put him on his tummy and he repeatedly rolled from tummy to back!! Crazy, I don't think this is normal for a 6 week old preemie!!
Hogan joined us outside!

Attempting an all boy pic

On Monday my sweet mom hung back with the trio and let the us girls go on the boat with dad. We just cruised the lake for a couple of hours and got a little bit of sun. Oh how I have missed the lake. There is something so relaxing to me about a boat ride...kinda felt like I was on a mini vacation. It was so windy, that no one was on the water...so rare for a holiday weekend. I hope we can arrange another boat ride soon!
