Wednesdays in the Word

The little boys and I spend our Wednesday's together. It has evolved into a special day. We get Harper off to school and then head to BSF. The boys "help" me get my room ready for the morning. They really look forward to seeing what I have packed in my bags. They always ask if I am bringing everything back home because the majority of my props come from the playroom. Everything always looks like so much more fun when it is removed from its' element. They go to their class while I teach mine. We are all learning about the life of Moses and the Promise Land. They have been really curious about God, Jesus, Heaven etc...Today at lunch Hudson wanted to know if we could take our lovies to heaven and Hogan was quite positive that his blankets would go with him too. Hampton asked me to take a picture of God on my phone so that he could see him....and lets not forget Hampton asking me when he was going to die so that he could live in heaven...Such sweet, curious boys.

Harper has been going to BSF with Cam on Tuesday nights. There have been a lot of teachable moments since we are all studying the same thing. The themes of Moses seem to be Obey (which is really great when raising kids) obedience brings blessing, we can trust and believe God, and God gives us everything we need. Truly great lessons in all stages of life.

We also go to CFA every Wednesday and enjoy our lunch date. The boys are celebrities there. They know our order by heart, bring us hats, ice cream, and peppermints before we ask....and Ms. Gladis gives the best hugs. And if we're going to be honest, I enjoy coming home to a clean kitchen and boys with full tummies who are ready for naps.

Rodeo Day

I had a fun day volunteering in Harper's class for rodeo day. We made picture frames out of pieces of bandanas. It was a fun morning in First. I always love seeing Harper interact with his school  friends. He was quite a cowboy cutie!!

Coolest Addy Ever

Our sweet sweet Addy is sick with a horrible sinus infection, but you would never know it. She ventured out to meet "Bob-mato" and Larry in Humble. Major brownie points when your grandsons are obsessed with Veggie Tales!!

Lately

My poor little blog has been so neglected. I recently looked at a blog book that I published and it made me miss the ol'blog. I really don't have time to be blogging, but I am going to try to be a little better about it in 2015. I haven't used my DSLR camera in a year! Yikes, even Christmas pictures were taken on our iPhone…which sadly I don't even know how to post them to this blog….The whole iCloud thing is confusing to me!

Lately, we have referred to the trio as "Three-nagers" they have been pretty particular! That is a nice way of saying defiant/fussy/opinionated etc. We are praying that they magically grow out of it on April 14th! They are also hilarious and say the funniest things. They are currently talking about heaven and death. I think they learned about Lazarus being raised from the dead at Sunday School. They has asked me on several occasions when Addy is going to die. They don't understand how they are going to"fly" to heaven, and Hogan once asked if it would be time to go to heaven when we ran out of the toilet paper in the bathroom!! (pointing to the 3 extra rolls in a basket)

They are really into Paw Patrol and pretending to be puppies. I constantly hear "puppy talk" which really sounds like whining. Oh me oh my!! We ventured out to Pet-smart for a "Fun Friday." You would have thought that I had taken them to Disney World. They were in love with the doggie hospital, salon, and birds. I wish I would have thought about this idea earlier. We left with Pound Puppy dog toys (that squeak), but seriously it could have been worse…like a real dog! While we were watching the dogs get haircuts Hampton yells, "Looook mommy doggies DO have weenies!! That's so silly!!" Oh and can you guess what else they are obsessed with.

And as far as our sweet seven year old goes. He is really growing up! I mean he is becoming responsible, doing things before being asked, soaring in first grade, and loving Upwards basketball. He is truly a great big brother. He has taken the boys under is wing and it makes me so proud to see them all be buddies. He is looking more and more grown up with his big feet (size 3.5) and mouth full of adult teeth. He is starting to eat like a boy, I mean like a man!! He is always hungry. His current favorite obsession is chicken quesadillas and tostadas.

He asked me when he could get "babmatized"while I was tucking him in this week. Sweet, sweet boy. We are starting to have meaningful conversations about sin and just how serious it is and our need for a Savior. 2015 is always off to a great start!
