Snow Chillin'

Aunt Heather gave us the cutest Christmas jammies. What is cuter than babies in jammies? They were all smiles!!

I think Hampton might have a sweet tooth like his mama

Magic-all are smiling

OH Deer, it's almost Christmas

Thanksgiving 2011

Tuesday Cam and Harper packed up for a guys night at the ranch, while I stayed home with the little H's. Harper had been looking forward to some ranch time with daddy. In preparation for the trip we bought him his first pair of cowboy boots, man those things are pricey!! He picked out a pair that had green on them because of the "Baylor Bears." To say he loved them would be an understatement, he slept in them...oh the things that happen when mama is gone. haha

After a good nights sleep I packed up the trio and made a short trip to the ranch to spend Thanksgiving with lots of the Heathcott's and extended family. The weather allowed for lots of outside fun. We even ate Thanksgiving lunch in the barn.

We spent the entire day eating and enjoying each other's company while the kiddos had a blast....isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about? This was the first year that I felt like I did not even see Harper because he was having a blast with his cousins.  They played home run derby, rocket balloons, rode 4 wheelers, made a campfire, and golfed. I am so thankful that Addy, Poppy, and Aunt Heather were included in this celebration. Even thought we do not see everyone as often as we would like, we always enjoy family, food, and fun!!
Here are a few pictures of our day of thanks...

Red Arrow

Harper's Indian name for the Thanksgiving Feast was Red Arrow. He made the cutest vest and hat to match his name. I love Pre-K, everything is SO fun when you are four. Here is the best picture I got of Harper with some buddies from school. I need to be better at taking pictures!!

We enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving feast with Addy, Poppy, and Hampton. Harper sang a festive turkey song on stage. It was very cute!

Spiritual Gifts

After Batman Day, Harper has been begging to have another special day. So today we spent the morning learning about Spiritual Gifts. First, we looked up Galatians 5:22-23 in the Bible and highlighted the verse. We talked about the Bible being God's word, and that every word in the Bible is true. Next, we watched a great video on Youtube called "God Rocks." This guy has a catchy song about the fruit of the spirit. Harper loved it and loves to sing the song to his brothers.

We made a fruit of the spirit necklace/bracelet out of fruit loops. Harper and I each made different patterns and practiced our Spanish color words. Our favorite part was eating them!

Harper really enjoyed playing a game with his fake fruit. I put several pieces of fruit on a tray and then we would take turns removing one and guessing what object was missing.

His favorite activity was painting with Kool-aid. He loved smelling the different flavors. We even made fruit punch and sipped on it during this activity.

Next up....fruit salad! This boy LOVES fruit salad. He eats a huge bowl of fruit salad just about every day.
We also made a Fruit of the Spirit book and used early reading techniques to find the first letter of the word to give our brain a clue on what the word could be.

 Ta-Da!!
