December Recap

December has flown by, it is hard to believe that 2013 is upon us. We started off the month by celebrating Poppy's Birthday. Kids make celebrations so much fun. We had to have party hats!!

We live in a neighborhood with built-in entertainment. Just a few streets away we have a huge light display. We have gone numerous times this year to look at the Christmas Lights. The boys love to bundle up before bed time and take a walk. They are mesmerized by the lights and music. It is the perfect night time lullaby!

Another fun thing we did this year was Santa's Wonderland in College Station. We drove up with the Childer's Family to see the lights and visit with Santa Clause. The kids looked at the lights through the sun roof! Harper told Santa that he wanted a Nerf Gun for Christmas. Harper always has the best time with Sae-Sae!

The gang...next year there will be one more little with us!
The day that school got out we headed over to Kingwood to see Kids Krazy Christmas with Addy, Poppy, and The Matthews. We stopped at Luby's, the easiest place to feed my crew, and before going to Second Baptist. The show was absolutely fabulous for young and old. It held everyones attention and shared the gospel at the same time. I think we will make this a tradition!

Look at this little elf!

So silly these days

Did I mention, I forgot to bring shoes??! #lifewithtriplets

Angela hosted her 5th annual Happy Birthday Jesus party again this year. It was awesome as usual. She read the Christmas story while the kids placed stickers or magnets of the "characters" as they were mentioned in the story. We ate yummy pizza and Hot Cocoa before going caroling. The caroling was a new addition this year and was probably my favorite part. We bundled up and loaded up the trailer and sang as we drove through Wroxton. It was so sweet to listen to the kids sing and lets just say I need to brush up on my Christmas lyrics!!

The Porch

My parents have an amazing front porch. Every time I have taken a picture on the porch I love it. It just photographs really well, and I am not a photographer!! We had a Christmas party in Kingwood on Saturday so we decided to take the family on a little "vaca" to Addy and Poppy's house. I had decided to not send out Christmas cards this year. I was totally bummed, but it was a little late in the game to find a photographer. Pictures just stress me out, especially with triplets! My kiddos wear pajamas or comfy clothes these days and it's just a battle I don't fight anymore, except when when we go to church.... So with that being said, we have a lot of candid photos in dirty clothes (they  refuse to wear bibs and Harper prefers his shirt over a napkin).

But oh.my.goodness...check out these cuties all dressed up after church!! Talk about melting my heart, I think I *might* send out an after Christmas card.

Thankful...

Thankful for a terrific Thanksgiving with the Heathcott Family....

The Stampede

Harper saved his money for 3 months to purchase this nerf gun. He originally wanted the "Vader" aka The Raider, but when we saw this colossal gun, he changed his mind! I am so proud of him for doing his daily chores. Thank goodness for little brothers who like to pick up bullets :)

FBA Fall Program and Party

Every year Harper's Preschool puts on a Fall Program before Thanksgiving break. This year Harper was a pilgrim. His glass sang "If you are a turkey and you know it" and "Who built the Ark." I love watching him on stage. Before the program we went on a little date to Donut Wheel. Hogan and Cam accompanied us and Hogan had his first kolache! He sat in a big boy chair and looked so grown up!!

Wish I wasn't covering up his cute turkey.

These boys love Hogan, not sure the feeling is mutual.

Love this picture!!

18-19 months..a little late

Time is flying by....my sweet *little* 5 pound babies are 19 months old!! We went for their 18 month check up at the beginning of October. They were all between 26-27 pounds! I would guess they are close to 30 pounds now. I am building arm muscles like crazy!!

Our days are BUSY, these 3 guys are on the move and have learned to be bothers rather than brothers. My days as a referee have begun. Unfortunately, a lot of the fights are over me. It is like they know that there is just not enough of me to go around..sad. I think this is a hard age because they are still not able to fully communicate, therefore they get frustrated easily. We are working on sharing and like I said, this too will get easier.

We spend a lot of time outside, going on walks, exploring the neighborhood park, playing in the sandbox, swinging...etc. Boys just need fresh air and wide open spaces to run. I am learning to let them be "boys" and get dirty. This is hard for me because all I do is clean up after them!! On Wednesdays we go to Bible Study Fellowship. The boys love going and learning with Ms. Kim and Ms. Tammy. I look forward to the 2 hour break and the boys learn so much! Each week the teachers tell me what little entertainers they are, especially Hogan. So far they have learned O is for obey, Trust and Obey, This Little Light of Mine, and the word Bible.
Hampton
Hampton is still the little charmer. He is the smallest in stature, but he can definitely hold his own. He has learned to bite and hit. We have implemented time out and it seems to do the trick for a little while. Although, sometimes a little break from everyone is probably a reward rather than a punishment! I try to put him in his crib for 1-2 minutes. That is easier said than done because when mama leaves the room everyone cries and follows in despair. Hampton loves to swing and be "aaaasigh" aka outside. His favorite things are reading in mama's lap, sneaking into Harper's room, tearing up toilet paper, sliding, dancing, and playing patty cake!
Hogan
Hogan is still quite the cutie with dimples. I couldn't imagine him getting any cuter until we found out he needed glasses. Oh. my. goodness!!! So precious. He has gotten really good at wearing his glasses. It was really hard the first 2 weeks and lots of tears were shed by all. Hogan has mild esotropia, which is a fancy name for being cross-eyed. We are hoping the glasses strengthen his eye muscles to prevent any further surgery. Hogan is talking up a story and has mastered the words Hi (repeated over and over to everyone we meet!!) Nnnnooo, baby, cracker, and bye bye. Hogan loves to snuggle and lay his head on my shoulder. He is the only one I can rock to sleep.

Hudson
Hudson is still known as Big Huddy. He is 2 ounces bigger than Hogan, but that may not be the case for much longer. Hudson is our bossy one in the bunch. He just grunts and tackles to get his way. As soon as we get into the car he is pointing at the tv screen and grunting!! Hudson also has a sensitive side. He often stops whatever he is doing, finds a blanket/ lovie, and crawls into my lap. Talk about melting your heart! He has started to become attached to a blanket, lovie, and paci. He loves to play ball and his favorite thing is a balloon! He is obsessed!! We can't walk into Kroger without buying a balloon.
I love my trio and they couldn't be any more different. They each have distinct looks and personalities. I still get asked if they are identical every time we are out in public, but to me they do not look alike. The other day we were playing in the backyard and they each went down the slide differently. Hampton went on his tummy/feet first, Hogan went on his tummy/face first, and Hudson went on his bottom! Just an example of their independence.

In line for the slide

Such a big boy climbing up the ladder

Taking turns

We love 85 degree weather in December

Aunt Heather came to visit us. Huddy loves him some Aunt Heder!!
