18-19 months..a little late

Time is flying by....my sweet *little* 5 pound babies are 19 months old!! We went for their 18 month check up at the beginning of October. They were all between 26-27 pounds! I would guess they are close to 30 pounds now. I am building arm muscles like crazy!!

Our days are BUSY, these 3 guys are on the move and have learned to be bothers rather than brothers. My days as a referee have begun. Unfortunately, a lot of the fights are over me. It is like they know that there is just not enough of me to go around..sad. I think this is a hard age because they are still not able to fully communicate, therefore they get frustrated easily. We are working on sharing and like I said, this too will get easier.

We spend a lot of time outside, going on walks, exploring the neighborhood park, playing in the sandbox, swinging...etc. Boys just need fresh air and wide open spaces to run. I am learning to let them be "boys" and get dirty. This is hard for me because all I do is clean up after them!! On Wednesdays we go to Bible Study Fellowship. The boys love going and learning with Ms. Kim and Ms. Tammy. I look forward to the 2 hour break and the boys learn so much! Each week the teachers tell me what little entertainers they are, especially Hogan. So far they have learned O is for obey, Trust and Obey, This Little Light of Mine, and the word Bible.
Hampton
Hampton is still the little charmer. He is the smallest in stature, but he can definitely hold his own. He has learned to bite and hit. We have implemented time out and it seems to do the trick for a little while. Although, sometimes a little break from everyone is probably a reward rather than a punishment! I try to put him in his crib for 1-2 minutes. That is easier said than done because when mama leaves the room everyone cries and follows in despair. Hampton loves to swing and be "aaaasigh" aka outside. His favorite things are reading in mama's lap, sneaking into Harper's room, tearing up toilet paper, sliding, dancing, and playing patty cake!
Hogan
Hogan is still quite the cutie with dimples. I couldn't imagine him getting any cuter until we found out he needed glasses. Oh. my. goodness!!! So precious. He has gotten really good at wearing his glasses. It was really hard the first 2 weeks and lots of tears were shed by all. Hogan has mild esotropia, which is a fancy name for being cross-eyed. We are hoping the glasses strengthen his eye muscles to prevent any further surgery. Hogan is talking up a story and has mastered the words Hi (repeated over and over to everyone we meet!!) Nnnnooo, baby, cracker, and bye bye. Hogan loves to snuggle and lay his head on my shoulder. He is the only one I can rock to sleep.

Hudson
Hudson is still known as Big Huddy. He is 2 ounces bigger than Hogan, but that may not be the case for much longer. Hudson is our bossy one in the bunch. He just grunts and tackles to get his way. As soon as we get into the car he is pointing at the tv screen and grunting!! Hudson also has a sensitive side. He often stops whatever he is doing, finds a blanket/ lovie, and crawls into my lap. Talk about melting your heart! He has started to become attached to a blanket, lovie, and paci. He loves to play ball and his favorite thing is a balloon! He is obsessed!! We can't walk into Kroger without buying a balloon.
I love my trio and they couldn't be any more different. They each have distinct looks and personalities. I still get asked if they are identical every time we are out in public, but to me they do not look alike. The other day we were playing in the backyard and they each went down the slide differently. Hampton went on his tummy/feet first, Hogan went on his tummy/face first, and Hudson went on his bottom! Just an example of their independence.

In line for the slide

Such a big boy climbing up the ladder

Taking turns

We love 85 degree weather in December

Aunt Heather came to visit us. Huddy loves him some Aunt Heder!!
