Batman Day

Batman Day was a huge success at our house. I started planning fun things for Harper to do WAY too early. I am a teacher at heart and I love doing theme related things with Harper. He is my first born and my guinea pig for all things mama! He was overstimulated as a child...every minute of his day was planned, bless his little heart, no wonder he wants me to entertain him all the time!! I have been a little busy (wink*) lately and have not taken the time to plan something cool for Harper and I to do. He is really into Super Heroes lately. He prefers Spiderman, which is funny because we don't watch on TV. Well I found this fabulous idea from another blog and then I got my printables fom here. Check out our Super fun day.
When I was making breakfast something in the other room caught Harper's eye and he said, "Mooom....I found a SURPRISE!!"

We had Batman Cinnamon Toast for breakfast.....
We dressed up in our capes to get in the mood for Batman Day. Harper named this side of the house the "Bat Cave!"

The next thing we did was a number puzzle matching the objects with the correct number and then putting everything in order. He loved seeing the different characters. He finished this task super fast and was ready to do the next activity! He kept saying, "Thanks mom, I LOVE puzzles!"

This kiddo loves to trace. He has completed every tracing workbook we own. Granted he likes to hurry through his work, I am trying to teach him to SLOW down!! So "Catching the bad guys" was a perfect activity for him. "Let's do more Batman games!" That is the phrase I heard over and over :)
Next, we made snakes out of color coordinating playdoh. We mashed the play doh on the letters Bb and Rr. We counted the letters in Batman and Robin, clapped syllables, and made a list of rhyming words.

We also cut out different sized Batmans and put them in order from Small-Large, Large-Small, and found the medium sized one.

Harper cut and pasted all the Batman characters and sorted them into categories. He learned the word "Villain" pronounced fillian!
We took a break to eat a snack and feed a brother. Hogan joined us in the Bat Cave for a little coloring. Harper did a color by number page and then practiced his counting and colors in English and Spanish

Batman Belly Washer

I cut out multiple Batman and Robins while Harper made patterns. He loved making a "Tricky" pattern and having me figure out what came next. We did AB, ABBA, and ABB patterns.
We played Batman Memory multiple times. He beat me every time!! I guess I need to pay better attention.

We will be having more FUN Fridays in our future!!
