Harper woke up bright and early on Easter morning and he was delighted to see that the Easter Bunny paid a visit. He hunted eggs in the living room rather than outside. The Easter Bunny was a little unsure about hiding eggs outside due to the pool construction. When Harper is excited he talks non-stop. I wish we had recorded everything he said. SO funny!
The Easter Bunny left Harper a note and asked him to hide eggs for his little brothers. Harper loved that idea! He was really sweet to assist in the hunting part too. The boys would find an egg and then eat everything immediately.
We put on our Easter clothes and tried to take a few pictures, but once again...we failed! I have ZERO pictures of Harper in his cute little outfit. He disappeared when we went outside. I kept hollering for him, but he never came outside. It turns out, he had taken all of his money from his eggs and combined it with his piggy bank money and wanted to give it all to church. Proud mommy moment. He proceeded to say, "Mom, which is more important pictures or giving money to God?" Wow! Talk about feeling convicted.
We rushed out the door to church. We were hoping for lots of visitors in the 5 year old class so we wanted to be on time! Plus we had to make our weekly visit to Donut Wheel...yep, even on Easter!I I had my Easter lesson all prepared, but the kiddos actually taught me the lesson. It was such a sweet morning. They had been learning all about Easter at FBA and knew so many details. I was really impressed with their knowledge and loved having them teach me. Hats off to Ms. Thompson and the FBA staff!!
After church we all rested up for a special visit from Addy and Poppy. We enjoyed roast, potatoes, salad, and banana pudding! Yum!! These were the only 2 pictures from the rest of the day, too busy making memories!!
