My sweet little hampy is still the smallest in stature, but you would not think so if you saw him eat. He LOVES to eat and says "eeeeeeat" or "nack" a lot. His favorite foods include oatmeal, all fruit, all carbs, taco meat, beans, and lara bars. He uses a spoon and fork with his left hand. We think he is going to be a lefty like Harper and Daddy. We recently discovered Mc Donalds. I am a CFA girl, but it just so happens that we are always passing MCDs. SO my car automatically pulls in after church on Sundays. As soon as we get in the drive-thru line, Hampton starts screaming "App-le/ Nack." I drive through and order apples every Monday when it is my turn to carpool. Hampton has a *little* temper when things don't go his way and the drive thru is longer than .2 seconds. We are working on this newly developed temper. He has also learned to have a temper tantrum and literally throw himself on the ground. Usually he falls straight backwards and hurts himself. We are praying he grows out of this soon!! This time last year Hampton had a reaction to strawberries and peanut butter. We have avoided these foods to the best of our ability for the last year. I took him to see an allergist last week to get the official test. It all came back negative!! Woohoo, I have introduced the foods this week and he had no reaction. So thankful that we don't have to be so careful. He still will not touch an egg or eat anything homemade with an egg in it. Very strange, but he is not allergic, maybe just intolerant.
Hampton has looked like a boxer for the last month. I grease up his face every morning with Aquafor in hopes that his scratches can heal and he won't get any new cuts. Hampton is the biter in the family and in return, his brothers retaliate by going straight for his face...yep like cats. He looks so pitiful, but deserves 99% of the scratches. He is our scrappy/sneaky guy. Things are starting to look up because time out is being better enforced and he is learning to share. He is the best at giving a toy to someone and moving on to the next toy or activity. Hopefully the others will catch on to taking turns soon :)
Hampton loves to bounce in his bed, well actually they all like Hampton's crib. It has some serious springs. The crib broke last week, but we are hoping our rig job will last another few months! When I lay Hampton down for a nap, he usually bounces for a good 20-30 minutes before laying down. It is pretty hilarious to watch on a monitor. Recently he requested to sleep with a basketball, and he has now perfected sitting on the ball and bouncing in his bed...you just can't make this stuff up, ya'll!!
| Hogan and Hampton |
Moving on to Baby B....Mr. Hogan Allyn, my talker. He is the most advanced verbally out of the trio. He will repeat anything you say and he loves to talk while he plays. He has mastered I love you....oh melt my heart! After time out, he always says "I love you!" He obsessed with "E-MO", aka, Elmo. He requests Elmo every time we are in the car and each morning at breakfast. He sings the "la la-la la" part. We also ask him where people are and he says "I-no" for I don't know. It is so cute!! He calls Hampton and Hudson "Tee-Tee." Which Harper thinks is hilarious...5 year old humor. We call the boys Hampy, Hogie, and Huddy a lot so I am sure that is what he is trying to say.
He loves to pick up my phone and pretend to take a picture of himself while saying, "Cheese!" I guess I take a lot of pics.
Hogan is also very cuddly. He sleeps with 6 blankets and 2 lovies...no exaggeration. He carries them throughout the day as well. If he begins to cry, Hampton will go get Hogan's blanket and he immediately stops crying. He loves to be held after he wakes up in the morning and is very possessive with his mama. He also usually needs some snuggles during play time too. He crawls up in my lap and loves on me for a few minutes for no reason....love this!
He is still active although the others have caught up so I don't feel like he stands out as the most active anymore. He enjoys playing basketball and says "Two" when he scores. We loves to go outside and especially likes going to the park. Harper pulls the choo-choo and Hogan grins ear to ear. I have noticed that Hogan is more of the "Loner." He prefers to play by himself while the other two play together. He is content doing is own thing.
Hogan will be having eye surgery to correct the muscles in his eyes on May 6th. The doctor is confident that this will straighten out his eyes. We are praying this is a one and done fix! He has discontinued his glasses and has not asked for them one single time. Which is strange because I thought they really helped him.
Our sweet baby C was Huddy Buddy, my independent and serious little dude. There are 50 shades of Huddy. He makes the greatest facial expressions, so you always know exactly how he feels. In fact, I got called out of BSF a few weeks back because they thought he had a seizure. It turns out he was pouting and had some mean mug shots! He has learned how to cut his eyes and frown. Oh dear, we are in trouble for the teenage years.
Hudson is obsessed with balloons. There is always at least one mylar balloon at our house, usually four! He is giddy when he has a balloon in his hand. His other favorite past time would be jumping on the couch or bouncing in Hampton's bed. He has some serious rhythm too!!
Hudson knows what he likes and what he doesn't like. If he doesn't like something, he immediately says "Bye Bye" until you take away the toy or whatever it is he dislikes. He strongly dislikes stuffed animals, he gets hysterical especially if they talk or sing. We sold several toys at our garage sale that he was terrified of. We did not even try Santa or the Easter Bunny this year!. He is also scared of animals, so that made for an interesting trip to the Montgomery County Fair.
Hudson is still the biggest in height. He doesn't eat as much as the others, but he makes up for it with milk. He LOVES "Nuk." Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are a staple in our house, we eat them all the time...but not Hudson. He opens up the sandwich, drips is pointer finger in the jelly, and then licks his finger. He does this until every ounce of jelly is gone...Hogan (our human garbage disposer) gets the remains! We have started pulling the high chairs up to the kitchen table rather than having them eat on trays. They started to scream when we put them in their high chair. I think they are going to be like me and enjoy change.
These little guys are three of my biggest blessings. They have taught me so much about life. They have slowed me down and made me stop and enjoy the little moments in life. Our house if filled with laughter and we are truly blessed to be apart of this adventure. I could not imagine it any other way!
